Sustainability

A Word On Sustainability.

There is a general rise in consciousness of what we eat and what we wear. This is a good thing. For less carbon footprints. For our beloved planet.

Since its founding in 2020, MOLINI LONDON has been dedicated to reimagining luxury through responsibility, artistry, and conscious innovation. Established as a silk-focused brand, MOLINI LONDON’s early commitment to sustainability began with sourcing organic silk from regenerative silk farms and incorporating recycled silk satin from Italy.

In line with the brand’s mission to continuously refine its environmental impact, MOLINI LONDON joined the British Fashion Council’s Low Carbon Transition (LCT) programme, enabling a more structured reduction of its carbon footprint. As part of this initiative, the brand has shifted towards locally sourced silk fabrics—championing the use of deadstock silk, addressing the reality that approximately 15% of fabric goes unused each year (Business Waste, 2024).

This focus ensures that MOLINI LONDON not only diverts valuable materials from waste but also reduces the need for long-distance imports. Alongside deadstock, the brand now prioritises recycled silk satin sourced within London and the wider UK, reinforcing its commitment to local supply chains and minimising transport emissions.

To further advance circularity, MOLINI LONDON collaborates with leading rental platform HURR, making select pieces available for rental. This initiative extends the lifecycle of garments and allows more customers to access luxury fashion in a responsible way.

Founder and Creative Director, Stuart Tingini, affirms:
“Luxury cannot exist without responsibility. At MOLINI LONDON, sustainability is not an afterthought—it is always the heart of most decisions we make, especially going forward, when making new collections. We are committed to preserving craftsmanship while constantly pushing for methods that protect our planet.”

MOLINI LONDON remains steadfast in its belief that fashion can be both exquisite and accountable. The brand continues to explore sustainable solutions without compromising on quality, elegance, or innovation.

Lastly, we are a “made to order” brand. So we don’t keep hundreds of items or fabric in stock. Addressing the issue of overproduction & minimising waste all round.
